Housekeeping.
Hi! [WAVES HAND VIGOROUSLY; TAKES DEEP BREATH]
There will be things written here. Here are the things! I plan on five general series of things.
For the Lit Crit+Wit series…I’m going through stories – right now, any story I please – and annotating, delving in, providing commentary, researching, comparing adaptations, leaving helpful tips for the OG authors (who will, in many cases, be either very famous or very dead) and being generally very snarky and literal. Those who enjoy dated references and pedantic asides will love it!
For the Work With Me series, I'm going to be chronicling my way from Writer Who Doesn't Make Much to NYT Bestseller (or, 'Copywriter Who Makes a Bundle'). Expect numbers and gripes and and tips and coaching and realistic updates. I want this to be helpful and companionable to other struggling writers out there.
For the Leveling Up series...well: this is my attempt at "lifestyle/parenting". General byline: "Adult-sized woman-child seeks organization, style, and ultimate happiness." Wish me luck, and follow along.
For the Pseudoscientia series: This is my attempt to rationalize my science degree and research experience. I've worked in a lab and in data analytics for long enough that I know how to figure out Answers to Questions (TM): but I wasn't interested by the Questions I was Sort of Answering in traditional employment. So. Anything I feel like researching and reporting on, will go here.
For the Phantasmagoria series: This is my favorite English word. Also, I'm a burgeoning novelist. Here will go any short examples, short stories, or teasers for longer works.
Qualifications? I’m a reader and writer, and I make myself laugh.
Aims? I’m working to get (as of this writing) two novels in good enough shape to start shopping them around. This is to keep me up and writing during the soul-gutting editing process. Also, no big, but: I like pulling apart other stories to see how they work, what keeps them alive and what really should have killed them, and then applying lessons learned to my work. Also, you’re supposed to have a writer website? Like that’s a thing? So, lemming-like, I swam in that direction. When faced with the prospect of keeping the thing current, I decided that I didn’t want to bore everyone with a personal blog. This seems more…productive? Anyway, lit crit is something I enjoy doing, like, get lost in / do in my free time anyway, enjoy doing.
None of this should be taken at all seriously.

Imma have two series, to start. We'll see how things go.
Story Analysis.
For the Story Analysis series, I’m going through stories – right now, any story I please – and annotating, delving in, providing commentary, researching, comparing adaptations, leaving helpful tips for the OG authors (who will, in many cases, be either very famous or very dead) and being extremely snarky and literal. Lit Crit+Wit.
Hopefully I'm not overselling things.
For the Lit Crit+Wit series…well, it’s mostly going to be the same thing. However, I’ll be going through works of literature (note: general term) and doing it chapter-by-chapter, and it’ll be a little more focused/organized (i.e., I’ll be sticking to one book from chapter 1 to the end, instead of taking a break from a Shakespearean rant to read and report upon ancient versions of Cinderella.)

And that’s that for now.
